Hi,

I am a PhD student in Economics at Terry College of Business at UGA. I am from Turkey, a country that has been the craddle of civilizations for thousands of years. I am married but I don't have any children yet. My expected graduation is in 2007. After completing my program I would like to continue my professional career as an academician. My interests for research are international economics and economic growth.

I was born on April 2, 1975 in Istanbul, Turkey. I grew up in Istanbul which is the biggest city of Turkey and stayed there till I was 17. I finished Kabatas Erkek Lisesi(my high school) in 1992 and then moved to Izmir to attend 9 Eylul University to get a degree in Geography. On my second year because of a change in interest I decided to quit 9 Eylul and became a student The Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University (Mekteb-i Mulkiye),with a major in Business. In 2000, I graduated from Ankara University, and came to the US for graduate study.
